ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
Gregg County Area GO TEXAN is proud to raise money each year to award scholarships to graduating high school seniors within Gregg County, Texas. Our mission is to invest in the next generation of Texans — students who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a commitment to the values that make the Lone Star State great.
Through fundraising events, member support, and community partnerships, GCAGT provides financial assistance to help local students pursue their dreams at colleges, universities, and vocational schools across Texas. We believe that supporting our youth is one of the most important ways we can give back to the community we love.

SCHOLARSHIP RULES & ELIGIBILITY
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior residing in Gregg County, Texas.
- Applicant must plan to enroll full-time in an accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school.
- Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicant must be involved in agriculture, FFA, 4-H, or a related program (preferred but not required).
- Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the institution upon enrollment verification.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered. All materials must be submitted by the deadline.
- Recipients will be notified by mail and/or email prior to graduation.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
All of the following must be emailed to [email protected] along with your completed application.
- 1Completed and signed scholarship application (PDF below)
- 2Official high school transcript with cumulative GPA
- 3Letter of acceptance from an accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school
- 4Two letters of recommendation (one from a teacher or counselor, one from a community member)
- 5A personal essay (500 words or less) describing your goals and connection to Texas agriculture or your community
- 6Proof of Gregg County residency (utility bill, school record, or similar)
